Emerging from Israel Asaf Simchy, otherwise known as Yestegan chaY, is an electronic music producer who is principally focused on creating Psydub/Ethno Chill music that’s fused with a range of textures and vibrations arising from the Middle-East.
As an Israeli with Persian roots he brings to bare in his music a passion for global culture. The result is, not only a unique sound characterised by precise electronic beats but a sound also that speaks of a broader world view, which causes, through its subtle melodies and oriental influences, a dance experience oozing with creative yet easy-going energy.
Throughout his work ‘Yestegan chaY’ invites us to consider sound as an effective means of connecting with our emotions inside and the external environment that surrounds us all so that we may experience personal insight via the movement and dance it encourages. Sound is his medium where his hopes for humanity are progressed and it is this all round approach to his Psydub/Ethno Chill music that motivates an individual or group to employ the body and mind beautifully, whilst allowing this most powerful of sounds to enlighten the soul at the very same time.
